SVI’s CSR Initiative for Water Conservation and Environmental Restoration

At SVI, sustainability extends beyond manufacturing excellence. As part of our ongoing commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, SVI recently organized a CSR initiative focused on water conservation and ecosystem restoration in Thailand.

Restoring Natural Water Systems for Long-Term Resilience

SVI employee volunteers participated in hands-on environmental activities at Phu Khae Botanical Garden, a protected natural area that plays an important role in regional water and ecosystem balance. The initiative included:

• Construction of check dams to slow seasonal water runoff
• Creation of natural sediment traps to reduce soil erosion
• Tree planting to enhance biodiversity and strengthen watershed resilience

A Sewian is a local, nature-based solution for managing organic waste and improving soil fertility.

These actions help regulate water flow during heavy rainfall, retain moisture in forest areas, support groundwater recharge, and maintain water availability throughout the year. The restored water systems benefit surrounding ecosystems while supporting long-term agricultural use, daily consumption needs, and environmental stability.

A key strength of this initiative was the active participation of SVI employees as volunteers. Their collective effort reflects SVI’s belief that meaningful sustainability progress is driven by people.
